Certifications and Memberships

We have been members of this wonderful Training system for our Team since we opened. Every one of our Team members is required to attend Knowing Dogs 101/201 and then go through The Guru College to earn a certification in animal behavior. We care enough that we pay for our team members to do this so we are prepared to provide the best care possible for our pack members.

Deborah Griffin is a ProPetHero certified instructor and able to teach a 2-year certification course for Pet First Aid and CPR. We not only offer this course to pet professionals and owners, but we put all of our team members through the course as well. We feel strongly that it is important to educate about how to quickly respond to emergency circumstances.

While Debbi was dog walker & a pet sitter for more than a dozen years, it is always important to be sure we keep up with the industry trends and education. This is another way we support our services to our clients whether it is dog walking, dog daycare, grooming or training. We are striving to be ahead of the curve in requirements to operate a pet services business.

When running a business, it's important to be knowledgeable in all aspects of the business that you operate. Our Groomers has their certification, and they participate in continuing education, but we felt as owners we should have an in depth understanding as well.

As we offer serving meals for our guests, it's important to have a basic understanding of general Pet Nutrition.  We administer meals per owner's instruction, and we provide quiet rest time after meals have been eaten. We do our best to ensure a healthy meal environment for our guests.

As an owner of a dog walking and pet sitting business for 10 plus years prior to opening Doggie Works, Kristin has years of hands-on experience to share with our team. Having an industry certification supports that experience and allows our clients to have confidence in our services. We are firm believers in continuing education.
